Located just off Mossadek Street in Dokki, Egypt, Kareem’s Awesome World is the perfect co-working space for university students. Today, it is a cultural and social hub for the young and old where Kareem’s customers can study, work on group projects, have meetings, play board games, read comic books, play VR (Virtual Reality) games, or just want to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
Kareem’s Awesome World is owned by Kareem, a young Egyptian entrepreneur with high-functioning autism (HFA).
Everything began in March of 2017 when this young entrepreneur decided to share with the world his unique point of view because of HFA. His dream was to have his own business so that he could be financially independent as well as raising awareness about autism.
Kareem’s inspirational journey through entrepreneurship started when he began selling entertainment products. However, this endeavor proved to be unsuccessful, but that did not stop this young and talented entrepreneur from achieving his entrepreneurial goals. He then decided to bring the entertainment to the customers in person, and so Kareem’s Awesome World began.
With the help of his encouraging mother Dr. Doaa, he picked a location that was not far from the social scene of university students, and being the comics fan that he is, he decorated his place with a Marvel/DC vibe. They also painted the place in inviting colors and placed inspiring quotes on every wall.
Kareem’s Awesome World is an awesome world indeed. You feel like you are in a welcoming home instead of an office space. With its calming environment and walls filled with positive quotes, it’s the perfect working environment where you can also have fun while getting stuff done. The place is very popular with college students as it gets about 100 students every day.
Kareem and his business are breaking society’s standards about autism. In spite of HFA, he has built a thriving business. Autism is difficult, but that didn’t stop Kareem. And neither should it stop you from living a life that you’re dreaming of.
